Executive and Physician Coaching

Coaching is used to enable executives and physician leaders to improve performance. Coaching is an effective tool to develop and retain an organization’s most important resource, its leadership. It is often used successfully to groom individuals in succession planning.

HCNA is currently coaching CEO’s of major health care organizations to enable them to make wise decisions and demonstrate the leadership skills for today’s healthcare environment. Working with a skilled and knowledgeable coach who understands the healthcare culture enables health care leaders to develop a proactive strategy, a vision for their organization and the skills needed to implement it successfully. Coaching helps strong managers become better leaders.

HCNA coaches physicians. Some of them are in major leadership positions making difficult decisions about resource allocation while managing and growing major clinical divisions undergoing significant change. Healthcare organizations support coaching for physician leaders to encourage their professional growth and development, because many skilled clinicians do not have the executive management skills needed in complex organizations.

Individual physicians seek coaching to make them more effective in their patient care, research lab, or administrative responsibilities.
