What happens when I call HCNA to consult with a physician group, hospital, health system, or other health care organization? HCNA has the resources and expertise to provide a broad range of services to clients. We help organizations resolve or manage conflicts that have been preventing or slowing the implementation of organizational change or progress. We developed our consulting service in response to requests for assistance that resulted from the national speaking engagements and training programs that HCNA is known for doing. When you contact HCNA for consulting services, you will speak with a person with extensive knowledge and experience in health care. We will ask many questions to obtain an understanding of the issues to determine whether we can be helpful to you. Once that determination is made we will present you with a proposal outlining the services and the projected costs of the project. Upon finalizing a signed agreement, we design an efficient and cost effective project plan with you. Based on our experience, we can do a great deal of fact-finding and organizational assessment from our offices in Lexington, Massachusetts by conducting scheduled, confidential telephone interviews with the individuals involved. We will ask you to identify the individuals who can provide us with a diversity of perspectives and interests. Depending upon the issue, we may want to talk with members of the Board, the medical staff, and/or administration. We will develop an analysis of the issues and use that as a framework for interventions. We will work on-site with your organization leaders to conduct meetings with individuals or small groups to accomplish the specific objectives of the engagement. Upon the completion of the project, you will have accomplished an effective alignment of the various needs and interests of the parties and have dealt with the factors that impeded your organization’s progress. Most importantly, you will have learned a new problem solving process to utilize in the future.
